I have now taken the General Lines P&C and Life and Health through America’s Professor and passed both exams first try! An 82 and an 85! Jack does a great job of giving you methods to remember what is important, and cut through the excess of information that is not necessarily vital to your success. I cannot recommend this enough!

I just want to say thank you! I scored 88 on my state exam, passing on the first try. The lectures are well done. The material is well organized. It seemed like an overwhelming amount of information. You were right when you said students usually recall the information when they see the test questions. I found that to be true. The practice questions were extremely helpful. They were structured just like the exam, making the exam much less intimidating.

I passed the exam the first time, scoring an 82…Thank you Jack! I thought you di a phenomenal job teaching this information. You kept it interesting and the added humor, usually at Nancy’s expense, was fun. I would highly recommend this course to anyone. I have 7 licenses and so I have taken many courses in my life, to include this course, since I accidentally allowed my license to expire…shame on me!
If there was anything that i did not really feel prepared for was the Texas specific portion of the exam, where there were only 35 questions as opposed to the 110 questions inn the main body of the test.
Overall I would give this course a solid A…..Thank you so very much!

Thank you Jack! I was able to finish the class within 3 weeks. I did what I could Monday though Friday. Finished on a Thursday, Studied on Friday and took the state exam on Saturday morning. I tried to follow the directions as best as i could. I passed with an 88 on the first try.. From a person who suffers from ADD. It was perfect. Thank you very much!

This course was amazing and easy to follow! I loved the humor and how easy it was to follow along with the Professor. With them I had learned a lot and what I needed to pass the exam.
I passed the exam the first time taking it, and I had a month to study. This was a quick and painless way to learn.

Very thankful for Professor Jack!

I passed my exam, first attempt, and I know it’s because of this program! I went into these studies, expecting to just “endure” them and to be bored out of my mind. But Jack (and Nancy!! lol) really helped keep me engaged and I found myself enjoying the time. And Jack will make you laugh! My son is about to start studying for his Insurance Exam and I will be making sure he has this resource to get through it.

America’s Professor is the real deal! Full disclosure, I already knew this because my husband took the course and then passed the exam on the first try. Still, you never know! I took 15 days to go through the books. I actually read the first 16 chapters, watched the videos, and took the quizzes. I did very well on the quizzes, but I had just read the chapter :). I stopped reading because I was trying to fit it all in and just watched the videos and took the quizzes and tests. Today, I took the test and passed with a 92. WOOHOO! I knew exactly what to expect based on Jack’s tutelage. You cannot go wrong by choosing America’s Professor for your any reason! Also, we are in Texas, in case that is relevant!

I loved using Americas Professor! I had no knowledge on insurance before studying for this exam, and the lecture videos and practice exams helped me so much. I studied for 2 weeks before my exam and made an 86 on my first try! The textbook was so easy to read and I loved all of the “real life” examples they used. I would absolutely recommend taking this course to prepare for your exam!

I get bored/easily distracted when reading. I’m a visual learner. The videos in the content are educational in a entertaining way and made it easier for me to follow. He dummies things down to where I can understand. He’s also quite funny. I got a kick out of his example stories. Highly recommend this course. I took the exam just this morning and thanks to America’s Professor I was confident and passed.

The course was pretty lengthy, but I kicked everything into 1.25x & 1.5x speed, and did my absolute best on everything. I definitely re-did a the section reviews each 1 last time prior to jumping into the exam and crushing it

This program is amazing! I personally never been a fan of taking online classes, I prefer classroom setting so I wont get distracted easily. I started my course Jan 8, 2024. It was quite entertaining and the professor was amazing. He explain everything in way to help you comprehend the terminology much more quickly then me reading the chapter on my own. He was funny and down to the point of everything you need to know to pass the exam. This exam was pretty challenging so be ready and study!! the practice exam really helped me be PREPARED for the real test. I PASSED MY EXAM ON MARCH 20,2024!!! THANKS TO THIS PROGRAM!!!!!!

The lectures were very entertaining and it kept my attention. I retook my quizzes until I had enough knowledge to make at least a 90. I passed the state exam the first attempt. I would strongly recommend taking courses. I’m thinking about signing up for more classes.

Choosing Americas Professor as my course to study for The Texas General Life, Accident & Health Pre-Licensing exam was a great decision. I felt very prepared and confident heading into the testing center! When I began the test the way the questions were worded were way different than what I had in my mind, but I was prepared for that from this course.

I think Jack said it best when he says early on that it’s better to get a good grasp of the information versus just memorizing answers on tests. While memorization is needed, understanding the content will help on the test with all of the dreaded word problem/situation questions.

I would recommend this study course to anyone!

Thanks!

Matt

How to Pass Your Insurance License Exam in Texas

Texas is experiencing a major population boom. People are moving to the Lone Star State from all over the country to find better job opportunities, affordable housing, and greater quality of life.

More Texans than ever need insurance products to protect their health, homes, cars, and families. This is great news for insurance agents and adjusters. There’s never been a better time to start a career in the lucrative insurance industry!

Keep reading to learn more about how to get your insurance license in Texas.

Insurance Exam Prep Courses

To sell insurance products in Texas, you need to be licensed. To get your license, you need to pass the insurance licensing exam.

Texas doesn’t require licensing candidates to complete pre-licensing education. But the Texas insurance license exam questions are challenging, and insurance is full of tricky concepts and unfamiliar terminology.

To give yourself the best chances of passing on the first try, enroll in an exam prep course through a reputable provider, like America’s Professor.

We offer the best insurance pre-licensing study solutions in the industry. America’s Professor has helped thousands of students prepare for their insurance licensing exam, and 95% of our students pass the test on the first try!

Our pre-licensing courses are designed for every learning style, whether you’re a visual learner or an auditory learner. We make it easy to understand and digest the material, and our expert presenter uses entertaining stories and relatable examples to help you make sense of complex insurance terminology and concepts.

America’s Professor offers a range of exam prep options in Texas, including single line, combo, and package courses.

How Many Questions Are on the Texas Insurance Exam?

The number of questions varies for each exam.

For example, the Texas Life exam has a total of 100 questions (85 questions plus 15 “pretest” questions, which do not count toward your score).

The Texas General Lines Property and Casualty exam has 150 questions (125 scorable questions plus 25 non-scorable pretest questions).
See the Texas test content outlines for more information about the number of questions on each exam.

What Score Do I Need to Pass?

The passing score is 70 for all Texas insurance exams.

Each exam has two parts—a “national” insurance section and a “state rules” section. While some states score each section separately, Texas mixes the scores together. This gives you an advantage since you only need a single score of 70 to pass.

Your exam will be scored on the spot, so you will know right away whether you passed. But you will not be told which questions you got right or wrong.

If you don’t pass on your first try, you can sign up to take the test again after a mandatory waiting period—usually 1-3 days.

There are testing centers all over Texas, from Amarillo to Dallas-Fort Worth to Corpus Christi. You can also take a proctored exam online at home. “Proctored” means someone monitors you through your computer’s webcam while you take the exam. Learn more here.

How to Study

You should set aside 35-40 hours to study for the exam. If possible, spend a full week studying, just as you would with an in-person exam prep class. If that’s not possible because you work or go to school, it’s still important to create a study schedule and stick to it.

Aim for at least 3-4 hours of study time each night for the two-week period before your exam date. Study right up until the day of the exam to keep the information fresh in your mind.

Don’t settle for low-quality “study guides” or practice quizzes online. These shortcuts simply do not provide all the information you need to pass. Instead, enroll in a comprehensive pre-licensing course through a reputable provider like America’s Professor.

Look for a course that:

  • Accommodates all learning styles – Look for a course that offers a combination of video lectures, practice quizzes, and a hardcopy textbook. This way you can study in the way that works best for you, at your pace, and on your schedule.
  • Offers responsive customer service – When you have questions or concerns, you need to be able to call or email for help. Look for a company with a dedicated customer support team. Ask how quickly they respond to voice messages and emails.
  • Has great reviews – Reading customer reviews is one of the best ways to get candid information about a company. Look for reviews that talk about the company’s customer service, pass rates, and how well they support students.
  • Is committed to your success – Look for a company that has been in business for many years or decades—one that prioritizes the customer experience and is dedicated to helping students do their best.
