Course Taken - South Carolina Property & Casualty Pre-Licensing Course
Overall good course, got the job done. A few things I would like to mention regarding my experience… First off, the professor did a great job using real life examples you would encounter in the insurance business. Another thing that I wanted to mention, that was a concern of mine going in… How long is this gonna take? This is really up to you, I think you could do it in a week if you devoted a lot of time to it. It’s around 40 hours of time you spend studying, taking quizzes. I scheduled my exam to put myself on a one and a half week deadline. I ended up not watching lectures about half way through the course and just studying myself which seemed faster. I took the final exam until i could consistently score high 90s. Beware, there is gonna be information on the exam that will not be covered in the course. However, if you make the most out of the course you should be in good shape. I Passed the exam with a 81 and I did the majority of the course in four days.
AP RESPONSE: Congrats on passing your exam! It’s very important to complete the course entirely, following our study guide, before taking your state exam. There is a lot of content that we cover in the video lecture. For future students please read “How to be a Great AP Student” if you have any questions. Link

information was clear, nothing takes the place of study time , tests were close to being like the state test, national information was right on. State test had a some terms and questions that were not covered in the State booklet, passed first time though.
The course gives a good overview of what is covered on test. Would not have passed without this course.

The good news is that I passed the life and health exams but not by a wide margin. I did not feel extremely prepared when I took the exams and I put in a lot of hours going over the material. The exam that I took on the PSI web site felt more like the exams that I took. One example is that there were no ” problems” to solve that required calculating the answer. I do appreciate all of the effort that American Professor put into the course and I thank you for that.

You definitely learn by watching the videos and taking all the pre-tests. The best part was the grades on the chapter tests to let you know your weak spots. I passed the Property and Casualty test my first try. I myself, would have liked it better at a faster pace and concentrated more on the key points.
Thanks!

Thanks AP! I couldn’t have done it without out you. I did feel like there were a few more foreign concepts then I expected. Especially in the state portion. I made sure I scored a 95 or higher on all the chapter review questions, final exam and state portion of the course. Overall, I will definitely recommend this course.
AP RESPONSE: The test center will always have trial questions so always expect a few “out there” questions. 😉 Congrats on passing!

During the State portion (MO) I definitely started to panic and felt completely unprepared. Most questions seemed like foreign concepts that weren’t even touched on. That said, I guess it couldn’t have been too terrible, because I passed on the first try. All in all, very good course and would definitely recommend it!
AP RESPONSE: Those test writers can be tricky but it sounds like you knew enough to navigate the questions and succeed! 😉 Congrats!

I liked Jack’s teaching. His funny comments made easy to remember. I passed the test at first try with good score.
Thanks!
Only thing I did not like not to have back to course button after each chapter review questions.

Everything was great and easy to follow. Just wish the state section was broken up a little bit more instead of a straight 3 hour section. This was the part I struggled on the actual exam, after getting a high score on the practice exam section.

Passed the Property & Casualty Exam on the first try with about 30 mins left on the clock. Scored an 88! Thanks to Jack for a reasonably priced course. The written material was clutch for me.
