WY LAH: I am so glad I decided to use America’s Professor for my pre-licensing course! I passed both of my tests first try with ease thanks to the lesson structure and practice tests. Jack is enjoyable to listen to and the information is accurate and memorable for the test. I even ordered the wrong material and Annie in the customer service department was super helpful in getting it straightened out and the online course section to match what i actually needed. I think the system is very user friendly and the practice tests were a huge help. I looked at a lot of these courses and I think this is the best course for the money. You won’t regret it.

Really great course and instructor. I tried multiple times to pass the exam without the help of an instructor and I could not get the required score. After two weeks and investing the time in the course I was able to successfully pass the exam on the first attempt. I would highly recommend this course to anyone attempting to obtain their adjuster’s license. Thanks for the help!!!

I am very pleased with AP! I watched all of the videos and simply followed along and without any additional studying I passed the exam on the first try! Thank you for preparing me to take my exam

I think Jack Morton was great! His humor helps a lot. I don’t think anything can prepare you for the test questions. I took the test twice, and I watched the video courses 3-6 times I wrote down every test question including the answers, I read the chapters and I studied the definitions in back of the book.
I knew the material very well. To be honest the way the test questions are written I had my doubts I was going to pass. I got a 69% the first time and a 77% this time.

Second time I’ve used America’s Professor and both times have passed the test on the first go around! Love how Jack puts everything in terms we can understand and creates little things to help remember them. I would recommend AP to everyone needing to take any insurance licensing exam!

AP did an amazing job at preparing me for the Property & Casualty exam. Initially, I was overwhelmed by the amount of content to be learned, but the way AP structured the course and Jack’s teaching methods made it quick and easy to learn and understand. I passed the exam with a 90% on my first try. I will definitely be using AP again for my Life & Health Exam!

I can’t imagine trying to take this exam without doing this course! I passed my life and health the first time with a 86% and am so relieved to have that done! The videos are super helpful–I followed along in my text book as instructed, and retook the practice tests several times. You obviously have to use some deductive reasoning sometimes when taking the actual exam but I felt like this course gave me the tools I needed. Thank you Americas Professor!

Thanks to the lecture videos and text books I was able to pass on my first try with an 84%! I was worried when I first saw all that was needed to learn, but when it came time to test, I was relaxed and stress free because I was taught everything I needed to know. The practice tests were a huge help and really helped to prepare me. I’ll be moving on to the Life and Health materials through AP very soon, thanks Jack!!

I have no insurance background and was given an opportunity to be a Commercial Lines Account Manager. Come to find out most company won’t pay for classes anymore and required you to get licensed in 90 days. Which I disagree, I am a firm believer in having a class prior to any exam. I did my best to learn Property & Casualty on my own within 90 days but, I FAILED the first time , 65 was my score due to the WY laws. I wanted to learn and make sure I pass and not waste anymore time. So, I decided to register through America’s Professor.

I am busy and was able to complete the course on my pace in 2 wks and rescheduled my retake exam a month from when I took it the first time. The course was easy to follow and Professor Morton really goes beyond what’s in the book to explain the concepts in a simple way to comprehend and help you retain the information. He is also funny, so it keeps the class interesting. Through each chapter he connects all important contents how each insurance lines connects and different.

I completed the course and did all of the practice test. Did my final prior to my retake exam. I didn’t even read the book I just did his classes and practice tests. I reviewed and rewatched chapters that I needed to revisit. I did courses anywhere any time and even used my phone too. Each test version is different, if I didn’t take this course I would have failed again. Even the hardest question I got through it because I knew my stuff by taking this course.

My point don’t waste your time like I did learning it on your own. Some are able to pass without a class, but I am old fashion I need a class.

Invest in a class, and you will be less stress and learn a lot. Importantly, you will PASS as long as you focus and listen to the courses.

Thank you Professor Morton I PASSED, went from 65 to 85%!!! Which proves when you invest in a class and having a dedicated teacher like Professor Morton, it makes a difference.

If your company is not willing pay for your class and it’s required to get licensed. Don’t waste your time just register to a class for your own sanity. In return, you will PASS and retain the information which will make you a confident Producer.

THANK YOU!!!

I really appreciate this course. I took my exam after I did 10 Days on the course material and I passed with an 87%. The minimum was a 70%. I learned everything with confidence! I am truly grateful for the help. The cost was well worth it. follow the course, do what it says, you will be fine. Thank you for everything!

I was feeling very stressed about taking the WY Property and Casualty test, and then I was recommended to take this class. I felt a lot more confident about taking the test, and I passed the test on my first try this morning! Thank you America’s Professor!!

I took my test today and got an 89% I took, 4 years ago, a Life & Health and passed that as well. Several questions on the test were unfamiliar, but because I did so well on the others it did not matter. I was also given a two day extension on my course which allowed me to study the final practice exam one more time and look at the new course material. This prepared me well. I recommend highly.

Thanks.

How To Pass

To get your Wyoming insurance license you need to pass the state licensing exam. This is true whether you plan to sell property and casualty (P&C) insurance, life insurance, health insurance, or another line of authority.

If you’re like most students, you probably have lots of questions. Like, how hard is the exam, what score do I need to pass, and how do I sign up?

You’re in the right place. The experts at America’s Professor answer these questions and more below. Keep reading for key information about the Wyoming insurance license exam and how to pass it.

How hard is the Wyoming insurance license exam?

Many students ask us how hard is the property and casualty exam? Or for that matter, the life and health exam.

Each one is challenging in its own way.

The information on the exams is not common knowledge. For example, depending on which exam you take, you’ll be expected to know the meaning of terms like “indemnity,” “estoppel,” and “subrogation.”

Estopp-what? Like we said, it’s not everyday knowledge!

The exams are designed to test you on key concepts and terminology. But the people who write the questions have a few tricks up their sleeves. They might turn a question into a negative or include useless information to throw you off.

The better prepared you are, the less likely you are to fall victim to these tactics. The best way to prepare is by enrolling in a Wyoming exam prep course through America’s Professor. We’ll teach you everything you need to know to pass the exam.

How many questions are on the Wyoming insurance exam?

This will vary by exam and is subject to change over time. The exams for single lines of authority have fewer questions than combo exams.

Currently:

The Life exam has a total of 100 questions. Of these, 85 are scorable, and 15 are “pretest” questions, which don’t count toward your score.

The Property & Casualty exam has a total of 200 questions. Of these, 170 are scorable, and 30 are “pretest” questions, which don’t count toward your score.

For more information about the number of questions and time limits for each exam, refer to the Wyoming Candidate Handbook and the Test Content Outlines. Both are available for download at https://home.pearsonvue.com/wy/insurance

What score do I need to pass the exam?

Currently in Wyoming, you need a score of 70 to pass the exam, regardless of which one you take.

Each exam has two parts: A general information section, and a section covering Wyoming insurance laws. You need a score of 70 on both parts to pass. Partial passes are not acceptable.

The good news is that your exam will be scored on the spot, so you won’t be waiting anxiously to find out whether you passed.

If you don’t pass, you will not be told which specific questions you got right or wrong, so carefully review all the study material before retesting.

You can sign up to take the test again through the Pearson VUE website after a mandatory 24-hour waiting period.

Which exam is hardest?

In looking at the Wyoming Property & Casualty exam vs. the Wyoming Life & Health exam, studies have shown that the Property & Casualty exam tends to be slightly more challenging for Wyoming students than the Life & Health exam. Data published by the NAIC about first-time pass rates reflects this.

All insurance licensing exams are broken up into two sections: a general knowledge section and a state-specific section. Students report that the state-specific portion of the exam is more challenging, since Wyoming insurance laws and regulations can get very granular.

Do I really need an exam prep course?

We’ll answer that question with a question. Do you know what estoppel means? Or what a “fraternal benefit society” is?

Ok, that was two questions. But you can see where we’re going with this. Most people simply aren’t familiar with insurance terminology and concepts. It’s a complex industry with a language all its own.

Just scanning the test content outline for your exam isn’t enough. Neither is memorizing answers on “practice tests.”

A comprehensive pre-licensing education course designed specifically for your exam will teach you everything you need to know to pass your test on the first try.

How much time should I spend studying?

Students who complete a pre-licensing education course in a short period of time tend to have the highest first-time pass rates.

The experts at America’s Professor recommend studying for 35-40 hours, as you would with an in-person classroom course.

Break up the time in a way that works with your schedule. For example, if your days are free, give yourself 5-7 full days to study before your scheduled exam date. If you only have a few hours a day, start 2-3 weeks before your scheduled exam date.

Put yourself on a strict study schedule and stick to it. Find a quiet place where you can concentrate without distractions.

Keep in mind that the longer you wait to take the exam after studying the material, the more details you will forget. The “Goldilocks zone” for when to start studying is 7-21 days before your exam.

Can I take the exam online?

Yes, you can take the exam online through Pearson VUE. Online exams are “proctored,” meaning someone monitors you while you take it.

If this sounds a little nerve-wracking, keep in mind that you would also be monitored while taking the exam in person at a testing center.
