First, check with your state’s insurance department to see if there are any insurance pre-licensing requirements before you take the licensing test. Some states do not have a pre-licensing course requirement, but some do. Those states that do require a course typically have a list of approved courses that meet a certain hour and education requirement. Make sure that if you are taking this course to fulfill your state’s pre-licensing requirement that America’s Professor is on their list of approved courses (you can also call to verify). If you have already fulfilled your state’s insurance pre-licensing requirements by taking a different course and only wish to take our course as “test prep,” that’s okay too. We have many students who use our practice exams and/or course videos purely as supplemental material for their other course.
While most students live in states that do not require any type of insurance pre-licensing education, states that do require pre-licensing education make education providers go through an approval process. We continue to go through this process state-by-state so please check back to see if we have added any new courses for your state.
After you have finished our pre-licensing course (scoring at least 90% on your review quizzes) it is recommended that you take your state’s insurance license exam as soon as possible. Don’t get your state’s insurance license exam confused with our course’s final exam. We recommend calling your state’s testing provider and setting up your exam time over the phone. This state specific information is provided in much more detail inside your course under the “Licensing Exam Information” section.

Here’s the deal … America’s Professor TEACHES the content students need to know to pass their license exam. The lecture videos are the heart and soul of our courses. We only use questions as a tool to gauge how well students understand the material they have been taught. Chapter quizzes, on average, have around 20 to 40 questions. After each chapter, we get one chance to test your knowledge to see what you know. The first time you take a quiz gives you a pretty accurate assessment of how well you know the information in that chapter. If you scored 50% you probably know 50% of the content in that chapter (better go back and rewatch the lecture videos!).
Memorizing the answers to the questions you got wrong and then retaking the quiz doesn’t mean you know and understand the content you missed. You will fail the license exam if you simply just try to memorize questions. Their questions will always be differently worded but over the same content. Knowing the content well enough to be able to teach it to someone else is the best way to prepare for your exam. Please trust our proven path to success.

Here is what AP recommends, based on our decades of experience:

In addition to being a retired professor at the University of Montana’s School of Business, Jack has taught numerous real estate, banking and legal seminars. I wanted to get licensed in life and health for Hawaii. I have been licensed for P&C since 2007, but am now and independent agent who is selling commercial- workers comp and TDI. We need to be licensed in Life and health to sell the TDI portion, and since my husband recently used Americas Professor to get his P&C license, I figured I would also use them for my life and health. I am so glad I did! I studied for about 3 weeks, scheduled the test early on so I world be held accountable for the deadline and I passed both tests on the first attempt! Jack made sure that when he was teaching us the material it would make sense, and only prepare us for what would be needed. Nothing more nothing less. Failed using another system paid for my company 3 times. Just couldn’t seem to remember it all. 1st try after listening to Jack and all his stories that put the learning in perspective for the actual job. Tests after every section that you can take as often as you need with feedback telling you what you got wrong what the right answer is and why. Excellent course!

I decided to do a search for another exam prep program. I am so glad I found you! I’m a classroom kind of girl and Professor Jack’s lectures was almost like being in a classroom. He is an excellent instructor! He made the learning meaningful, relatable, and interesting. I had 26 days to prepare for my exam, 8 of those days I was on a family vacation, and got to study on only 2 of those vacation days. This course prepared me so well for the exam. I completed each exam in about an hour. I’m not sure if that’s good timing, but I am so grateful to America’s Professor.
I started studying w/ Exam FX, I was given all the study materials and had access online, but found that relevant information was either found in the reading or the videos, meaning I had to read the book and watch the videos in order to get all the information. What I like about America’s Professor is that Jack walks you through each chapter, divides them into manageable chunks, tells you what to know and highlight, and explains concepts and terms to help you better understand the material. Although I was studying prior to America’s Professor, Jack and his videos helped me to better understand everything within 5 days of studying. I can’t thank you guys enough for the help.

It was very tedious study but your mnemonics helped me remember, and though the last 3 chapters on HI state law stuff are just plain hard, maybe that could be broken out more?

First, I would like to thank Jack Morton for sharing his knowledge and giving me the confidence in taking my test. I am still taking the course but I am not nearly as nervous as I was in the beginning. Jack has done an amazing job ensuring that the material is being retained by giving great examples and clearly explaining his points. He greatly emphasizes that he is teaching what we need to pass the test and that is my kind of teacher! One with an understanding that we aren’t going to go into the test with everything memorized completely or that it will even be relevant once the testing is over. There has been a few, and I mean very few, spots where Jack mixes up his words but he’s extremely fast to catch is and correct it, as to not leave you confused. I find myself engaging with Jack like I’m actually in a class and answering his questions aloud. Like I said, I haven’t taken the test yet (I take it in just a few days) but I do feel pretty confident that I will do just fine. I am really glad I took this course and I’m positive anyone else who takes this course will feel the same! So, thank you Jack (and Nancy also!
