FAQs
First, check with your state’s insurance department to see if there are any insurance pre-licensing requirements before you take the licensing test. Some states do not have a pre-licensing course requirement, but some do. Those states that do require a course typically have a list of approved courses that meet a certain hour and education requirement. Make sure that if you are taking this course to fulfill your state’s pre-licensing requirement that America’s Professor is on their list of approved courses (you can also call to verify). If you have already fulfilled your state’s insurance pre-licensing requirements by taking a different course and only wish to take our course as “test prep,” that’s okay too. We have many students who use our practice exams and/or course videos purely as supplemental material for their other course.
While most students live in states that do not require any type of insurance pre-licensing education, states that do require pre-licensing education make education providers go through an approval process. We continue to go through this process state-by-state so please check back to see if we have added any new courses for your state.
After you have finished our pre-licensing course (scoring at least 90% on your review quizzes) it is recommended that you take your state’s insurance license exam as soon as possible. Don’t get your state’s insurance license exam confused with our course’s final exam. We recommend calling your state’s testing provider and setting up your exam time over the phone. This state specific information is provided in much more detail inside your course under the “Licensing Exam Information” section.
Not exactly. However, our goal is for your educational experience to be a positive one! If you are dissatisfied with your pre-licensing course, please let us know as soon as possible. We will make it right. If you haven’t started your course and return the book unmarked in new condition, we will provide a full refund. *Refunds will be credited to the original payment method.
If you are unable to pass the exam within your course subscription time, send us an email or give us a call at 1-800-870-3130 and we will extend your subscription for free until you pass. If you are not successful on your first exam attempt, email us your failed exam report and we can provide customized study recommendations and guidance for your next attempt. Please only send these reports in if you have completed your course 100%. We will not provide recommendations if you have not completed your course.
We are committed to getting you through the insurance licensing exam!
If you don’t pass your exam, please send us a copy of your fail report to info@americasprofessor.com. Our Content Specialists will gladly take a look at your score report and make recommendations on which chapters to study given your areas of weakness on the report. Please only send these reports in if you have completed your course 100%. We will not provide recommendations if you have not completed your course.
If you purchase a course for yourself, you will have instant access right after your purchase. You will start with an initial 100-day subscription. If you need more time to pass your exam, you can request a free course extension.
If you are purchasing a course for someone else (option selected during checkout), access to that course begins when you start it. If you are an employer or purchaser who bought courses for someone else, you will use the “Manage Licenses” area to send out course invitations. Once your student accepts the course invitation, they will be enrolled into the course with an initial 100-day access period. If they need more time to pass their exam, they can request a free course extension.
Here’s the deal … America’s Professor TEACHES the content students need to know to pass their license exam. The lecture videos are the heart and soul of our courses. We only use questions as a tool to gauge how well students understand the material they have been taught. Chapter quizzes, on average, have around 20 to 40 questions. After each chapter, we get one chance to test your knowledge to see what you know. The first time you take a quiz gives you a pretty accurate assessment of how well you know the information in that chapter. If you scored 50% you probably know 50% of the content in that chapter (better go back and rewatch the lecture videos!).
Memorizing the answers to the questions you got wrong and then retaking the quiz doesn’t mean you know and understand the content you missed. You will fail the license exam if you simply just try to memorize questions. Their questions will always be differently worded but over the same content. Knowing the content well enough to be able to teach it to someone else is the best way to prepare for your exam. Please trust our proven path to success.

I want to extend a huge thank you to America’s Professor for their outstanding Property and Casualty course! The material was presented in a clear and engaging way, making even the more complex topics easy to understand. The real-world examples and Professor Morton’s teaching style kept me engaged throughout the entire course.
Thanks to this fantastic program, I felt fully prepared and confident walking into my exam—and I’m thrilled to say that I passed! I highly recommend America’s Professor to anyone looking for a comprehensive and well-structured learning experience.
Thank you again for helping me achieve this milestone!
I can’t state enough how excellent this course is. Professor Jack laid out all the material smoothly and it was easy to follow. 5/5 stars with no complaints. This course enabled me to pass my exam on the first try! Truly grateful and very thankful.
I thoroughly enjoyed this course. After not being in school for 15 years, I was very hesitant to try to dive into something new. The teacher really made it easy to follow along and gave great tips on how to remember things. He is also quite funny! I went in and passed the exam the FIRST time! I am so excited to start my career soon! I highly recommend using America’s Professor for any course you are trying to do!
I am so thankful that my employer recommended America’s Professor (AP) as my Property & Casualty Pre-Licensing Course go-to! Jack made the material interesting as he combined the concepts, examples, and humor. By the Grace of God, I passed my exam on the first try! My next course will be Life & Health.
AP Staff Member Annie said that my course study timesheet looked great and wished me well on my exam. AP has such a great staff to help others — I appreciate your dedication to get my licensing journey off to a great start! God bless you all — take care and be safe.
This course helped me pass the GA Property and Casualty Exam on my first attempt. Professor Morton made the content very understandable with his real life scenarios. I don’t come from a business background and I had very little background knowledge going into this. I followed along with his videos and the book, took note on what he highlighted, and took each quiz twice before testing. I felt confident while taking the actual exam, because this course definitely prepared me!

First and foremost, I passed the exam, just today!
This course is so thorough. I don’t think I’ve ever been as prepared for an exam as I was today. I literally had NO anxiety going into it!
Getting through all 33 chapters of the book felt daunting at times, but Jack made it fun with stories about the wife Nancy, the girlfriend Candy, the flip-up phone, cutting off someone’s benefits, and throwing them out of a nursing home…I could go on and on LOL it was entertaining and keep me going.
The team was very responsive and helpful with answering my questions about the course content when I called and sent emails.
Also, I think it’s genius how the content is laid out with line numbers in each paragraph to follow along to read and highlight as you watch the videos.
The Certificate of Completion Processing instructions and example were so helpful as i’m a visual learner.
Well done, AP! Thanks for creating such a great course!
I confirm all the positives everyone else said about the course. The material is well organized, easy to follow, and presented as interestingly as humanly possible. Professor Morton has a unique sense of humor and we now have a fictitious Nancy to help us remember bits and pieces as we continue in the insurance industry. The printed manual (now resembling an adult coloring book due to my highlights) made referencing easy when technology was inaccessible. One can find various time saving links on the dashboard to facilitate the license application process. It was easy to get a course extension due to unforeseen circumstances and customer service was always friendly and encouraging. If one follows the instructions given throughout the course, a passing grade on the first try is highly probable.
I decided to make a career change and have absolutely no experience with insurance. I spent a lot of time researching pre-licensing courses and I felt America’s Professor was the best choice for me. I took my licensing exam today and passed on my first try! I was very well prepared for the exam – Professor Morton was wonderful and I enjoyed his teaching style and little stories about Nancy. At certain points during the exam I could hear Professor Morton’s voice in my head and his mnemonic devices were very helpful. I definitely made the right choice when I decided to learn with America’s Professor! 🙂
About eight weeks ago, I began to explore online where to go for the best insurance licensing program. I discovered America’s Professor – which initially looked like the best choice. I continued to browse while I was job-searching, but once I landed a representative position with a State Farm agency, I got confirmation that America’s Professor is a directed path of choice. I purchased the combo and took both the P&C and LAS courses and could not be happier. Insurance material is overwhelming, and Jack’s videos make the whole process as simple as I can imagine. I passed both exams on the first try and I feel both humbled and empowered! Fantastic customer service, company and materials! THANK YOU AmericasProfessor.com!!

- Watch all course lectures in order while highlighting and taking notes on our instructor’s key points to remember. Replay any videos you didn’t understand.
- Understand the content well enough to score at least 90% on chapter quizzes. Your first attempt at a quiz will tell you how well you are comprehending the materials.
- Take your state exam as soon as possible after completing the course. The longer you wait, the more you will forget.
- Check for course updates before testing.
